振っても出ない・・・、なんて言ってた人がいましたね

ビリーブなんて言ってるようでは、まだ本決まりではないようですね。航空会社が破綻して、資金が枯渇したらはビタ一文返金されないなどと考えるのは間違えかもしれませんね。


そもそも、労働組合なんて、そんな物があっては、リーズナブルな価格は提示できません。リーズナブルを安いと勘違いしている人がいましたが、妥当な価格ってことなのにね。


日本の労組を抱えてる航空会社なんて、くそボロイ機材で、737－500だけど、駐機中はエアコン利かないから、がまんしてねなどとほざき、１時間のフライト国内線で28800円ってふざけんなよ。

Are 110,000 passengers really stranded?

No. The government has made clear that all Monarch customers abroad will be repatriated, with about 700 flights to be specially chartered over the next fortnight, at no further cost,. But some may experience some disruption or amendments to their original travel plans.

The CAA has taken over Monarch’s website and has provided information for passengers abroad, who can also ring a Department for Transport helpline on +44 1753 330 330.

何故、資金枯渇で飛べなくなった航空会社が救済便を飛ばせる（空で英国を出る）のか
疑問でしたが、要するにお国の金（＝税金）で、旧Monarch便をチャーターし、Monarchの
路線があって海外に取り残された旅行者を帰国させる（repatriate）と言うことです。

しかも、Monarch社のWebサイトも乗っ取ってしまっているとか。

かなりしっかりした対応がなされていますね。。

ATOL - Protecting holidaymakersが根拠のようです。

以前話題になった返金。やはり、エアラインから直接買ったものは返済対象にならない。
しかし、当然、英国に限ってはSection 75 によって補償されるだろうと。

What about people who booked a future flight or holiday? How do they get their money back or rebook?

There is no immediate substitute or process for rebooking; flights are simply cancelled.

If a holiday was booked through Monarch Holidays or another holiday firm or travel agent, it should be Atol protected and refundable. If a flight was booked direct with Monarch Airlines after 15 December 2016, it was not Atol protected.

However, the CAA believes most people should eventually be able to reclaim at least what they paid for their flight, through a section 75 or chargeback claim with their credit or debit card provider. But people who booked accommodation or car hire separately may struggle to recoup all costs depending on their payment method and insurance.

Purchases made on credit cards and debit cards have protections that are not available if you pay with cash. These apply whether the purchases are goods or services.

同様な見方（航空会社が過剰）は別にもありますが、一般化はできず、この会社の
場合は、行き先がテロ等で影響を受けたことを挙げているのと、やはり倒産の連鎖には
ならないと見ています。この会社を含めた三社は別。

While there might be too many European airlines, Monarch’s demise shouldn’t necessarily be seen as being symptomatic of wider industry problems. Like Alitalia and Air Berlin before it, the UK-based airline and tour operator had plenty of self-inflicted wounds that were exacerbated by external issues.

低価格は消耗戦で、生き残れるのは数社。さらに、大手がLCC化して、急場を凌いでも、
収益が低すぎてすぐに息切れする。MonarchもAirberlinも元々はLCCではなかった。
また、Alitariaは国内路線をLCC（Ryanairとeasyjet）に売却したが、却ってそれが
FSC本来の接続や利便性を損ない（MXPから繋げない）、破綻の要因の一つになってしまった。
